Hello, I'm Kym!

I'm a constant work in progress, and so is this space. I am not a professional writer, I occasionally make grammatical errors, I blog how I speak, and therefore I usually write in run-on sentences.

I'm the big sister to three, the proud fur-mama to an English Bulldog named Brutus Baxter-Barkly, and I married my best friend TJ on July 7th, 2012. I enjoy writing, painting, photography, baking, dancing, sleeping and healthy living - but if you put a chocolate brownie in front of me, that thing is a goner.

I started Travel Babbles in August 2010 as a means to share everything that I was experiencing in a foreign country when I moved to Germany for TJ's hockey career.

Three years later, I continue to share my stories about traveling from one place to the next, coupled with my favorite recipes, DIY projects, health tips, beauty finds, visual inspirations, and anything else that makes me smile.

I hope that Travel Babbles takes you to places that you've never been before, and that you enjoy it here as much as I do - go pour yourself a glass of wine and stay a while!

This blog features a mixture of my own photos, as well as images found via the internet. I always try to cite sources to the best of my ability, however many photos are not always properly credited. Well if I can't travel right now, I might as well follow someone who can/has so I can live it through them. hahaha. love your wedding pic of yourself. so beautiful! By the way, I found your blog via Messy Dirty Hair! Glad I did, excited to be your newest follower and read more posts from ya!

My father-in-law spent several years playing hockey in Germany - he still raves about his time there and has many, many friends they keep in touch with!

I love your bulldogs name! My bulldog is Delilah! They are the best dogs I love mine to death everyday she is cracking me up or giving me those eyes! How fun that your husband plays hockey and you get to travel with him! Im a big hockey fan, totally bummed that there is no hockey right now but when they are playing Go Avs! LOL!

Hi Kym! I recently found your blog...and ironically enough my name is Kym spelled with a "y" as we'll! I literally thought I was the only one out there that had parents spell my name wrong lol :)
