GymPact is awesome - you set a "pact" and "stakes" each Sunday. If you don't work out X amount of days that you agree to, you're charged X amount of dollars that you put up at stake! Likewise, if you complete your pact successfully, you're rewarded with cash. I have my pact set to 7 days per week at $5 per stake. You don't have to run - you can use this app when you're walking your dog or doing housework - as long as the GPS can register your movement for 30 minutes, you're golden. I average between $3 and $4 per week, and you can cash out at $10! I've also had to pay, too, and that sucks ... this app definitely keeps me accountable when money is at stake! If you sign up with this link you'll get a $5 reward.
This is a take on the "Couch to 5K" program, except it's for a 10k. I don't know how this works, but 10K for Pink somehow does and it's making this whole training thing so much easier!
I tried two other tracking apps before I downloaded Runtastic, and I definitely prefer this one over the others. My favorite features are the graphs for pace, elevation, and heart rate, the weather data, and monthly distance metrics.
If you aren't using Spotify you're missing out. It provides you with instant access to millions of songs, you can create all kinds of different playlists, and when you pay $9.99 for the Premium edition you're able to sync the playlists to your phone and take them on the road with you. If you click on this link, you'll get one month of Spotify Premium for free :)
